There’s a lot to look at inside the Flash interface, no doubt if you’ve already launched the application and then we’ll talk about getting around inside Flash files. Navigating and zooming and moving around inside your Flash movies.
From there we’ll dig into Flash’s drawing tools. We’ll draw some objects, we’ll work with the shape tools, you’ll see how to manage those objects and those shapes and also how to work with color, applying color, creating custom colors, all that good stuff and then from there we start getting into the heavy stuff, getting into things like symbols and instances and we’ll talk about the three main kinds of symbols. We have graphics, buttons and movie clip symbols so you’ll see how that all plays out and we’ll also work with editing symbols and we’ll work directly with Flash’s library as well.
From there we dig into animation. We’ll create something called motion-tweened animation and we’ll also use Flash’s animation presets and then of course from there we’ll get into editing our animations, editing our animated sequences and also of course controlling the playback timing of those sequences and then what we’ll do is we’ll get into some traditional-style animation. I have some things to show you related to that. We’ll work with some layers and then finally we’ll finish off by having a discussion on your publish settings inside Flash.
