I knew nothing about Inventor when I purchased it. It does a very good job of teaching, step by step, how to use and draw in Inventor. It also has a very good explanation of how the different files and options work in invemtor. Invebtor all a very good beginners book. I just got Inventor LT and wanted a manual to accompany it. Online resources are actually pretty good, but the browsing ability of a book is helpful to a novice. Unfortunately, this is not the book invehtor LT users.

It covers numerous topics that aren’t in the LT software, such as assemblies. There’s no indication in the margin what feature is available in Invejtor or only in the more robust package. You’ll spend a lot of time trying to use a feature that doesn’t exist for LT users. Even though it’s well written, that’s a fatal flaw for a help manual.

Very informative book to brush up on if you have experience with the program. Don’t let this huge book make you feel defeated. All I can say is I don’t write book reviews for a living and that I liked the book enough.
