A great answer addresses the original question, and might include examples or links to more info. Please follow our discussion guidelines. Please tell me there is a way to disable the forced use of MFA? If not, this gives me all the reason I need to leave Xero and go back to QB.
What a load of MFA is a pain in the behind, I have a password that would take 5 смотрите подробнее years to crack and every time I have to go though this MFA only to find it does not work! I have been trying to login using the Xero app on my iPhone for the past 2 hours now. It seems like Safari is not detecting the MFA prompt so the login page is just blank. The only way to login to any of the Xero apps on iPhone is to completely disable MFA and then literally start again, but on the iPhone. What a nightmare! I’m not sure I’ll be continuing my subscription with Xero honestly. So far, my experience hasn’t been that great and there are other options. You guys realize online accounting programs is a competitive market now right?

I have just started using Xero and I think I might go back to Quickbooks must more user friendly. You have taken something that works just fine and suddenly made it extremely frustrating to xero remove two step authentication. This is stupid on ms offline download level. Needs sorting asap. Completely unefficient. I am over this stupid system – we use xero for ease of use and yes I am now looking at other providers as this is time wasting at its finest – I want it gone.
I opt out of it on settings and then the next day its right back there again – over it. How do I opt out of multi factor authentication, its of course my secure because anyone trying to log in will get bored way before they actually access any data.

Two different things. I have 8 different programmes I use that all use the Google Authenticator for the 2 step authentication – ie. Payroll systems, financial software systems, CRM, Facebook and so on.
Here’s the link for the Google authenticator. Sign of the times I suppose. But the good news is, you can tick a box so that it only activates the authentication every 30 days. I use a google authenticator myself – and have close to 10 different authenticators for different apps, and i’ve got used to it.
