With others though, they will only show a color somewhere small on the browser to let you know to update it. Safari is also typically updated when you update iOS. As you may know the cache are small files that are downloaded to your computer to make web pages load faster when you go to them the second time. The cache can be cleared in the settings.

Depending on when you last did it, it may take a while. A note of warning.
